Opportunity Village Open House & Fundraiser - June 10

On Saturday June 10, we invite you to come and spend time with OVE residents, Board members and staff and experience a bit of community life at the Village!

Our goal for this event is to provide an opportunity for people to learn more about the Village, and to grow our Opportunity Village Sustainer program.

A Village Sustainer donates regularly each month. Even just $5/month helps—which is the average cost per night to shelter one person at the Village. Residents pay $30/month toward utilities, but we rely on ongoing donations from local community members to keep this innovative shelter model running.

Their documentary work includes an educational documentary series, Living Tiny Legally on the legal barriers to tiny housing and community developments. They are creating a docu-series on the tiny house movement across North America, featuring inspiring housing projects that are revolutionizing American housing and redefining home & community.

Live music by Low. Tide Drifters and Monday Morning Denial!...

The Low Tide Drifters perform folk songs rooted in the regional and working-class history of the Pacific Northwest. With a host of traditional instruments, sing-along choruses, and carefully crafted lyrics, they bring a respect for the past and a concern for the future to their particular brand of “music for the rest of us.”

Monday Morning Denial is a folk music duo featuring husband-and-wife songwriting team Kate Downing and Nathan Moore. Together, they craft and perform "underdog folk" songs that champion the struggles of everyday people to find hope in the midst of hard times.

We hope to see you there!
