SquareOne Villages is a non-profit organization based in Eugene, OR with a mission to create self-managed communities of low-cost tiny houses for those in need of housing.
The tiny house movement is gaining traction as a cost-effective response to the dire need for more affordable housing. Over the past few years, SquareOne Villages (SOV) has emerged as a state and national leader in this effort. In response to growing interest from other Oregon communities, SOV has received funding to develop a “Tiny Village Toolbox and Training Practicum” that will be implemented and refined on an identified test community, in Veneta, Oregon. In addition to preparing another Oregon community to develop tiny houses, this project will build SOV’s capacity to disseminate similar projects throughout Oregon and beyond.
The Project Coordinator will work with the Project Director to research and develop the “Tiny Village Toolbox and Training Practicum.” The position will also assist with the implementation of Emerald Village, and the predevelopment work for a new village in Veneta, Oregon.
