Villager Support Program
The Villager Support Program at Opportunity Village provides annual bus passes to all residents and also pays for residents to acquire state ID (needed for work or housing applications), renew a driver's license, or obtain job training or renew a work certification in order to take concrete steps toward employment and permanent housing. Some Villager Support funds are also available to pay rental housing application fees (usually $45-$50 per application) and to help with deposit costs. OVE residents requesting use of the Villager Support Program work with the OVE village coordinator and social work intern to develop goals and a transition plan prior to making their request.
We are pleased to announce two recent grants from SELCO Credit Union and the First Interstate Bank Foundation, both for $2,000 each earmarked for the Opportunity Village Eugene (OVE) Resident Support Program. We are grateful for the support these two local foundations have provided to the Village.
